When we arrived in Nuweiba we knew that the formalities for entering a
vehicle into Egypt could take several hours, it surely did. We finished
completely exhausted by Egypt's outlandish bureaucracy where 5 photocopies
were more expensive than a month insurance, but a full tank of diesel
cheaper than 5 photocopies.

Eventually we got through after midnight with new number plates on the landy.
After sleeping on a beach at the Red Sea we crossed the tunnel under the
Suez canal and finally putted our feet on the African continent. What a
beautiful sensation!
