The part of town we stayed in Nairobi is called Karen, named after the danish author Karen Blixen (Out of Africa) who lived here between 1914 and 1931. Several of her novels are inspired from the period she lived in Kenya. The house is now a museum and the beautiful furnished rooms seem to give you a sense of actually paying her a visit.
