45°C

The people at Station Six assured us that from now on the road would get better, African everlasting optimism. The desert had, however, something else in mind and revealed its authority; the sand got worse, the thermometer read 45
°C, the engine overheated and after 10 hours we'd only moved 124 km, not very encouraging.

full moon rising in the desert

That night we were very lucky to see a breathtaking full moon rising in the desert. In a magical silence we watched the moon stealing the glow from the stars and went to bed tired but happy.
