Through the binoculars we could see, yet very far away, some kind of palms on the horizon that hopefully would indicate the end of the desert. The end was near.

The long awaited finish of the sand came with a village called Berber, people ran after us as a sign of welcome and once again we were reunited with the lovely tarmac. The Landy likes that. We like that.
