To recharge our batteries we chilled out a few days in Khartoum, the Landy required an "after desert service" and we needed desperately a shower, or two. We then continued south towards Gallabat, the last town before Ethiopia.
It was amazing to see all those veteran buses crossing the country overloaded with people and still going strong. The passengers always smiling and looking as they were enjoying that 40°C rattling overcrowded ride, just imagine what a magnificent party these people could do in the London underground.
