We are in now in Zambia and have had some exciting days at a camp close
to South Luangwa National Park
(Luangwa
means fishing basket). Here we had the unique chance of doing a night
safari drive. Our own vehicle was not allowed in the park so we had to
"do" with an open car equipped for the purpose with a huge spotlight.
The night drive started late in the afternoon just when the sun was setting
and the nocturnal animals get active. We saw a leopard attacking a flock
of impalas, a serval cat and many other animals rarely seen in the day.
We apologize for the lack of pictures of the event but it is well known
that leopards, as ballet dancers or opera singers, do not like flashes
during the function.
