Goodbye to the Children's Foundation in Mali - Helle Gammelgaard

It has been a big experience to visit the many villages and meet people on their conditions. See with our own eyes how development support can change children's lives in third world countries. It was clear to see which affect the Children's Foundation had had in the Badogo area, both in connection with education, health and creation of livelihood (or increase) for the family.

Thank You

To the children and villagers in the Badogo area for their approachability.

To the staff members of the Children's Foundation: Ms. Aminata Samake Keita, Mr. Doumbia Mahamadou, Mr. Mamadou B. Trouré, Ms. Salimata Sidibe and Mr. André Simamenye.

FACTS

The Children's Foundation is an independent, Danish sponsor organisation with main office in Copenhagen, which was founded in 1972. Their mission is to help children in poor countries to be healthy, well-educated and independent grown-ups and supports them and their parents to create a permanent livelihood and a continuing development in the local society. Their vision is a world, where children are free and grow up as healthy, well-educated and independent individuals, who create their own base of existence in a democratic managed local society.

The Children's Foundation is a mediator between more than 50.000 of the poorest children in the third world and their sponsors.

Currently there are twelve centres and four under construction in Mali.
